Kevin McCarthy’s new complaint about Biden is his strangest yet

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) filed a bizarre new complaint about President Joe Biden on Wednesday.

Speaking to Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News, McCarthy said under most presidents the Oval Office has been busy and bustling with activity, but Biden’s is calm and quiet.

“The only thing: there are cookies. Every time you’re there, he offers you cookies, and he goes and gets them. I mean, it’s a depressing moment,” said McCarthy, who once had his assistants sort through packages of Starburst candy to set all the red and pink aside for Donald Trump.

Biden is under increasing pressure to drop his re-election bid after last week’s limping debate performance, with a growing number of people questioning the effects of his age and mental stamina.

McCarthy has also claimed that the president has suffered cognitive decline, but critics have been quick to point out that offering cookies to guests isn’t exactly a good example of that:
