Kourtney Kardashian talks about her emotional journey to become pregnant with her son Rocky.

Kardashian, 45, who shares Rocky with her husband, Travis Barkershared words of wisdom with an Instagram follower on Monday, May 27, detailing their struggles with IVF.

“Had six failed IVFs – how did you find the strength to continue?” the person asked.

Kardashian said via an Instagram Story that she had five “failed IVF cycles” and three egg retrievals before having Rocky, 6 months old.

Kardashian wrote, “I quit after a year of trying (five failed IVF cycles, three recovery surgeries), my body relaxed and I believed in God’s plan for my life.”

“Many prayers for what was meant for us,” she continued. “I also spend a lot of time optimizing my health.”

“I know how hard it is to feel like you’re not trying, but believing in God’s plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!” wrote the eldest Kardashian.

In another Instagram story, Kardashian cleared up the confusion that she conceived Rocky through IVF.

“I got pregnant 100% naturally,” she wrote. “NOT through IVF… actually a year after stopping IVF. By God’s blessing, on Valentine’s Day.”

The reality TV star and Poosh founder gave birth to baby Rocky in November 2023, just two months after undergoing a ‘terrifying’ fetal surgery.

“I will forever be grateful to my wonderful doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am forever grateful to my husband who rushed from tour to be with me in the hospital and then care for me, my rock,” she wrote via Instagram in September 2023. “And my mother, thank you for holding my hand through it. As someone who has had three very easy pregnancies in the past, I was not prepared for the fear of rushing into fetal surgery.”

Kardashian continued: “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the moms who had to fight for their babies during pregnancy. God be praised. Carrying my son in my belly and walking out of the hospital safely was the biggest blessing.”

Kardashian further opened up about the health issues during the season 5 premiere The Kardashians on Thursday, May 23.

“It went quickly. The timing of it was miraculous. That saved everything,” she said. “I’m just so grateful for how everything turned out and for the doctors who really helped make the best decisions that saved our baby.”
