“Take last night,” he said. “I’ve been working all day, doing interviews, rehearsing late into the night, coming home at 11 p.m., I need something to eat. Now it’s 1am. I didn’t get my training. So I went to the gym and did a 90 minute workout at 2am. I don’t want to be at the gym at 2 a.m., but I know I have to.”
“Because it’s part of my discipline – it’s about body, mind and soul,” he added. “I want all three of these elements to align. If my body is in shape and my mind and spirit are not, then it’s just something fun to look at or brag about. Who cares? For me, everything has to be on the same page. And I have to do the work necessary to get all of these things aligned so that my being can be at its maximum potential.
