A man set himself on fire in front of the courthouse where the former president was sitting Donald Trump‘s hush-money trial is currently underway… and the footage is shocking.
Photos and videos of the unidentified man spread across social media on Friday – while jury selection was underway in a New York courtroom where Trump is on trial. As you can see, it was absolutely shocking to all the people around him… as the man was completely engulfed in flames.
The video is disturbing. You see the man writhing on the ground, badly burned. Authorities rushed to douse the flames with a fire extinguisher, and it took some time to extinguish the inferno. Police tell TMZ that the man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Not only did passersby film the gruesome moment, but several news stations also caught it during their live tapings – who were there to report on Trump and interrupted their broadcasts.

For example, CNN was in the middle of a live report… and filmed the start of the fire before cutting back to the anchors who instead described the scene to the audience, with quick stream-of-consciousness details.
As dramatic as the fire was, the reporter’s flow of information was just as wild, especially as it played out on TV.
We don’t yet know whether this man’s self-immolation has anything to do with the Trump trial itself, but the former Prez’s criminal case is certainly a hot topic for many Americans.
Donalds faced with 34 state counts of falsifying company records because he allegedly had his lawyer pay a porn star Stormy Daniels hush money in the run-up to the 2016 elections.
The trial started Monday… and now all the jurors have gotten to work on opening statements for Monday. It’s unclear whether the proceedings were affected by the incident outside the courthouse… or whether Trump himself was aware of it or not.
