Hoping for redemption, Lauer is quietly laying the groundwork for his return to the media landscape, the source said, adding that he thinks “enough time has passed” since the workplace scandal.

“He started talking to people,” the insider said. “He is planning his next act, still very angry about the way he was portrayed, and he still feels like he was a victim.”
