Max Medical Procedural ‘The Pitt’ starring Noah Wyle sets up the main cast

Max’s upcoming medical procedure “The Pitt” has added nine new actors to the cast, Variety has learned.

The new cast members will star alongside previously announced lead actor Noah Wyle as the “frontline heroes working in a modern hospital in Pittsburgh,” according to the official logline. Max has given a 15 episode order to the series.

The new series regulars include: Tracy Ifeachor (“Treason,” “Showtrial”), Patrick Ball (“Law & Order,” “The XIXth”), Supriya Ganesh (“Grown-ish,” “Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game”), Fiona Dourif (“Child’s Play” franchise, “The Blacklist”), Taylor Dearden (“American Vandal,” “Sweet/Vicious”), Isa Briones (“Star Trek: Picard,” “Goosebumps” ), Gerran Howell (“Suspicion,” “Catch-22”), Shabana Azeez (“In Limbo,” “Birdeaters”) and Katherine LaNasa (“The Campaign,” “Truth Be Told”).

R. Scott Gemmill will write the first episode and executive produce the series alongside Wyle, Emmy® John Wells of John Wells Productions (JWP) and Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan and Michael Hissrich of JWP. Warner Bros. Television, where JWP has an overall agreement, is the studio.

Each choir is represented by Paradigm and Artists Partnership. Ball is represented by innovative artists and authentic talent and literary management. Ganesh is repped by Buchwald and Industry Entertainment. Dourif is represented by Innovative Artists. Dearden is represented by Untitled Entertainment and United Talent Agency. The series reunites Wyle, Gemmill and Wells, as all three previously worked together on the hit NBC medical drama “ER.” Wyle played the role of Dr. in the series. John for most of the show. Wells was the show’s first showrunner and executive producer, while Gemmill joined the show in the sixth season and worked his way up to executive producer.
