Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants seal a three-year deal to air on The CW

The Miss USA pageant expands its relationship with The CW, sealing a three-year deal that adds Miss Teen USA to the mix. The network announced Thursday that the 73rd Miss USA Pageant will air live on Sunday, August 4 at 8:00 PM ET on The CW, while Miss Teen USA will also air on Thursday, August 1 at 8:00 PM ET.

This is the second year in a row that Miss USA has aired on The CW. Last year’s broadcast was the pageant’s first broadcast since 2019, with Miss Teen USA streaming on the CW’s app and website on the same day.

According to The CW, last year’s Miss USA telecast “ranked as the network’s No. 1 new special of the year and delivered the pageant’s strongest performance of the past three years on television.” When Miss Utah, Noelia Voigt, was crowned Miss USA, viewership peaked at more than 1.1 million total viewers.

“We are honored to continue our partnership with the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Organization to broadcast these two quality competitions that resonate with legions of fans across the country,” said Heather Olander, head of unscripted programming for The CW , in a statement. “We look forward to continuing the storied tradition of these pageants, refreshed with a modern sensibility, on The CW for the next three years.”

Miss USA returns with new rules that allow any adult woman to compete in Miss USA, regardless of age, marital status or parental status.

Both pageants will take place in Los Angeles, with hosts, judges and locations to be announced at a later date. The 73rd Miss USA is produced by Renato Basile. Laylah Rose is president and CEO of Miss USA/Miss Teen USA and Megan Micale is chief operating officer.

“The Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Organization are excited to partner with The CW Network to bring Miss USA and now Miss Teen USA to audiences and viewers across the country,” said Rose. “The Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants have captivated audiences for decades with their relentless commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Through our exciting partnership with The CW, a blend of nostalgia and innovation, we are excited to showcase this prestigious competition and continue to be a beloved part of family homes around the world.”
