Mitt Romney believes Donald Trump should never have been prosecuted

A jury in Manhattan convicted Trump of 34 criminal charges related to falsifying company records.

These charges related to “hush money” payments to Stormy Daniels, an adult film star, in an attempt to cover up an alleged one-night stand with the New York businessman during the 2016 presidential election.

Trump denied the allegations and vowed to appeal the jury’s decision. “The real verdict will be pronounced by the people on November 5,” he told reporters after being found guilty. “And they know what happened here, and everyone knows what happened here.”

“We have a Soros-backed prosecutor and we have done nothing wrong. I am a very innocent man,” the ex-prez continued. “It’s okay, I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our Constitution.”
