No suspicious or criminal activity suspected
Police in Tennessee do not believe the death of American Idol star Mandisa was the result of suspicious or criminal activity.

The unexpected death of American Idol alum Mandisa An investigation is underway in Tennessee, but police do not believe it was suspicious. RadarOnline.com can confirm.
The gospel singer was Found dead at her home in Franklin on Thursday evening, and the Davidson County Medical Examiner confirmed her identity during the weekend.
The Franklin Police Department sent RadarOnline.com an exclusive statement Monday afternoon saying, “At this time, there are no indications that the death was the result of suspicious or criminal activity.”

Mandisa was found dead in her home in Tennessee on Thursday.
The department said it was continuing its “active death investigation” and sent “condolences to Hundley’s family, friends and fans.”
An autopsy has been completed on Mandisa, who was only 47. The cause of death is still pending and a spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office said it could be between eight and 12 weeks before autopsy results are released.
The medical examiner was initially unable to verify that the remains belonged to Mandisa, whose full name is Mandisa Hundley. Forensic tests had to be conducted to confirm her identity.

According to the local medical examiner’s office, an autopsy has been completed and the cause of death is not yet known.

The Facebook account as Mandisa posted a statement on Friday morning saying: “We can confirm that Mandisa was found deceased in her home yesterday.”
“At this time we do not know the cause of death or further details,” the message continued. “We ask for your prayers for her family and close circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time.”
Mandisa’s father initially confirmed his daughter’s death in a statement TMZ, expressing disbelief. The outlet reported that the singer had no known health issues.

David Piercethe chief media officer of Christian radio station K-Love, also commented on the Grammy winner’s death.
He said: ‘Mandisa was going through a hard time, and she was vulnerable enough to share that with us, which helped us talk about our own struggles.’
“Mandisa’s fight is over,” Pierce continued. “She is now with the God she sang about. While we grieve, Mandisa is home. We pray for Mandisa’s family and friends and ask that you join us.”

The artist was open about her struggle with depression.

The Facebook statement on her account honored the singer as “a voice of encouragement and truth for people around the world who face life’s challenges.”
The artist talked about her struggle with depression The Wally Show in 2017.
She revealed that her song Victorious marked the beginning of a downward spiral into severe depression and that she even contemplated suicide.

During her time in season 5 of American Idol In 2006, Mandisa entered the Top 10 and eventually came ninth. She released her debut album, True beautyin 2007, followed by several others.
Her fifth album, Victoriouswon the 2014 Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.
