On Friday, Puerto Galera announced plans to upgrade its resort facilities

The multi-million dollar expansion project will redefine the guest experience by blending modern conveniences into a beautiful natural backdrop

Friday Puerto Galera, a leading luxury resort in the lagoons of the UNESCO-protected Muelle Bay on Boquete Island, Mindoro, is gearing up to unveil a multi-million expansion of its resort facilities by 2025.

The mentioned improvements will redefine the guest experience by combining modern comforts within a beautiful natural backdrop.

The expansion project, supported by DXL Architectural Design Services, includes the construction of the Fridays Puerto Galera Conference Hall, Fridays Beach Club, Pool Bar, Wellness Cabanas, as well as a Game Room and a Jungle Gym for children.

Construction of the private and exclusive Pier Dock is also planned for guests arriving from Berberabe or the main port of Batangas City.

“This expansion project was created to combine modern conveniences with sustainable principles that reflect a contemporary Philippine aesthetic,” said Romeo Co, general manager of Fridays Puerto Galera. “Our goal is to be a preferred MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) resort in Puerto Galera, Mindoro Province.”

Friday Puerto Galera is popular for its unique location as a “quiet luxury” resort.

The picturesque property offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying the utmost comfort and privacy.

“Our goal is to further improve the resort’s offering. The construction of a new conference hall is intended for business meetings and group meetings and where special occasions can take place amid the beauty of the landscape. Surrounded by hills and with commanding views of the waters of Puerto Galera, this new conference facility (accommodating up to 150 guests with flexible space solutions) promises to create a peaceful and safe atmosphere for our esteemed guests, allowing them to make memories that will last long come along.”

Fridays Beach Club (formerly Fridays Crusoe Restaurant) will also be offering a brand new dining experience with a Filipino theme; while the addition of a Game Room is intended to accommodate guests looking for a mix of work and play.

“After long meetings or during breaks, guests can relax and have fun amid a variety of recreational activities aimed at promoting team building and camaraderie,” explains Co.

“Friday, Puerto Galera also aims to provide a holistic experience through various wellness offers such as yoga and meditation sessions; as well as enhancing our spa facilities for the total relaxation and well-being of guests.”

Opened in 2018, Fridays Puerto Galera currently has 24 rooms and suites. It is located in the lagoons of the UNESCO-protected Muelle Bay, known as the best spot in Mindoro.

The resort is located on Boquete Island, also known as Paniquian Island, which is surrounded by powdery white and pink sand and teeming blue water.
