One dead, two injured in crash at Berthoud Pass

One person was killed and two people were injured in a head-on collision on Berthoud Pass, which closed US 40 in both directions until 9 p.m. Friday. according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The two-vehicle collision at mile marker 251 was reported at 3:20 p.m., Trooper Gabriel Moltrer said. One person died in the crash and two others were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, Moltrer said.

According to CDOT, the highway reopened at 9 p.m.
