Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty will be watching for the first time

Don’t call it repetition. The upcoming ‘Suits’ podcast will be titled ‘Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast’ Variety can exclusively announce – not a “regardingwatch” podcast.

The SiriusXM podcast is hosted by actors Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty, who played Mike Ross and Donna Paulsen respectively in the American drama. Together they will watch the series for the first time and share new behind-the-scenes stories. They are often joined by special guests who have starred on the show or worked behind the camera during its nine seasons, as well as friends and fans of the show. More information will be available at the official website.

The podcast, produced by SiriusXM’s Stitcher Studios, is co-created and hosted by Adams and Rafferty. Producers are Kimmie Gregory, Cassi Jerkins and Kristin Shrader. Executive producers are Adams, Rafferty, Adam Sachs, Codi Fischer and Colin Anderson. It will debut later this year where podcasts are available.

The legal drama originally aired from 2011-2019 and saw a resurgence in popularity last year after being released on Netflix. According to Nielsen, it became the most-watched title ever acquired by a streaming service.

“It feels like the perfect time to revisit the show that changed our lives,” Adams and Rafferty said in a statement. “We are thrilled to be working with the incredible team at SiriusXM and look forward to connecting with our friends from the cast and crew, as well as the ‘Suits’ fans who made this all possible.”

The announcement comes ahead of the “Suits” cast reunion at the ATX TV Festival. Adams and Rafferty are joined by cast members Dulé Hill and Amanda Schull, along with executive producer Jeff Wachtel, for a retrospective conversation on Sunday in Austin, Texas.

The drama’s popularity also led to a new spinoff pilot, ‘Suits: LA’, for NBC. Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Bryan Greenberg and Lex Scott Davis will star, while original creator Aaron Korsch will write and executive produce. UCP is the studio.
