Patrick Mahomes doesn’t know any music being played during the 2024 Chiefs Practice

“It’s just crazy to me how much music I don’t know here,” Mahomes, 28, said in one TikTok posted by the Chiefs on Monday, August 12. “For example, I know that I am getting old.”
The quarterback, who had a microphone for the day of practice, noted that he listened to “all kinds” of music, but “I just don’t know what’s here.” .
“I’ve never heard this song in my life,” he added, laughing.

Mahomes had a particularly challenging practice. Before his music reveal, the NFL star realized he forgot his padded football pants and was wearing base layer pants instead. In an additional clip, Patrick told his teammates about his mistake, saying, “Oh dude, I didn’t put my pants on. Do you think anyone will notice? I look like an idiot now, dude.”
While apparently referring to the Chiefs head coach Andy ReidMahomes joked, “Maybe he thinks my quads are so big they look like pants.” In response, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said, “I doubt it.”
Mahomes left the field to dress for practice. “I have to put my pants on,” he said. “Bye, [offensive lineman] Religion [Humphrey].”
After the Chiefs posted the first clip of Mahomes’ pants accident earlier this month, the athlete took to his own Instagram Story to share the video, adding several laughing and crying emojis. His wife, Brittany Mahomesalso made fun of him.

After taking a few months off following his Super Bowl LVIII victory, Patrick attended Chiefs training camp in July — and has since been visited by his wife and their two children: daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 20 months.
“Went to see daddy today,” Brittany wrote on her Instagram Story on July 27. While Brittany and the kids were watching Patrick, they ate “lots of snacks” and “wanted to go play with daddy all the time.”
Brittany noted that Bronze “was on a mission to find his father for an hour and a half.” After they noticed Patrick, she joked that Bronse “didn’t know what to do.”
Brittany and Patrick announced last month that they were expecting their third baby, who they later shared was a girl.
When asked if the couple hopes to expand their family beyond baby No. 3, Patrick said during a press conference: “I’m ready, I’ll say that. I said three and I’m done.”
