Prince William and his eldest son, Prince George, had a boys’ day on the football field.

William, 41, and George, 10, attended the English FA Cup final on Saturday, May 25. The father-son pair paired up in navy blue suits and matching ties as they watched the match from a private box at Wembley Stadium in London. At one point, George was seen admirably holding his hand over his mouth to cheer.

The Prince of Wales and George watched as Manchester United took on Manchester City, with the former currently leading the scoreboard.

Before the match, William entered the field to greet the players. However, George did not seem to join him.

William and the kids recently went through a challenging time when Kate, 42, was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer in January. Her condition was discovered after abdominal surgery. Kate is currently undergoing a preventive round of chemotherapy and is canceling all her public appointments in the meantime.

“William and I have made every effort to process and manage this privately in the best interests of our young family,” Kate said in a March statement. “You can imagine that this took time. It took me time to recover from major surgery before I could start my treatment.”

William, meanwhile, has continued with his solo duties, often providing brief insights into Kate’s recovery.

“Yes, we’re doing well,” William said during an April 30 appearance at the opening of James’ Place, a suicide prevention centre, in Newcastle.

Kensington Palace has not shared an official update on Kate’s diagnosis and it is unknown when she will return to work. Royal expert Richard Eden reported inside The daily email on Thursday, May 23, that Kate’s friends predicted she would return to official duties in the fall.
