Richard Dreyfuss Caught Wearing a Dress During ‘Sexist’ Rant at ‘JAWS’ Screening
Richard Dreyfuss faced intense backlash this weekend after wearing a dress and embarking on what was described as a ‘sexist’ and ‘homophobic’ tirade.

Actor Richard Dreyfuss faced strong reactions this past weekend after he wore a dress and during a screening of Jaws, RadarOnline.com can report.
The surprising incident occurred Saturday evening at The Cabot in Beverly, Massachusetts at an event billed as An evening with Richard Dreyfuss + Jaws Screening.

According to attendees, the 78-year-old actor marched onto the stage at The Cabot wearing a blue floral print dress and shook his hips. Taylor Swift‘S Love story. Dreyfuss also reportedly swung his stick like a baseball bat.
Dreyfuss then took off the dress and allegedly discredited the parents of transgender children.
“He said the parents of trans youth who gave them the opportunity to transition were having bad parenting and that those kids might one day change their minds,” a person at The Cabot on Saturday night said, according to Daily email.
Several clips of the actor’s tirade were shared online over the weekend — including one in which Dreyfuss appeared to dismiss children who identified as transgender.

The incident occurred Saturday evening at The Cabot in Beverly, Massachusetts.
“It’s not okay because when the child is fifteen she will say, I’m an octopus,” said the Jaws star charged.
Also surprising were reports that Dreyfuss belittled Barbra Streisand during comments about the couple’s 1987 film Nuts.

The Cabot eventually apologized email on Monday in the wake of the backlash against Dreyfuss. The venue acknowledged the “serious concerns” raised by the actor’s controversial performance and subsequent tirade.
“We are aware of, and share our serious concerns, following the recent event involving Richard Dreyfuss prior to a screening of the film Jaws at The Cabot,” according to the location.

“It’s not okay because when the child is 15, she’ll say, ‘I’m an octopus,’” Dreyfuss said.

“Mr. Dreyfuss’s views do not reflect the values of inclusivity and respect that we uphold as an organization,” the venue continued. “We deeply regret the distress this has caused many of our customers.”
“We have an active dialogue with our customers about their experiences and want to learn from this event how we can better achieve our mission of entertaining, educating and inspiring our community.”

Meanwhile, several attendees took to social media to criticize Dreyfuss for Saturday night’s “sexist” and “homophobic” charade. One attendee even claimed that “hundreds” of people left the event.

“We walked out of his interview tonight along with hundreds of others because of his racist, homophobic misogynistic rant,” one person tweeted.
“I came here to see if Richard Dreyfuss was canceled tonight after appearing at The Cabot in Beverly,” wrote another person who attended that evening’s event.

“An evening of misogyny and homophobia with Richard Dreyfuss,” wrote a third participant. “Disappointing doesn’t even cover it.”
Dreyfuss has not yet publicly commented on his controversial performance at The Cabot on Saturday night.
