New Delhi:

According to reports, Canadian rapper Drake’s mansion in Toronto was cordoned off by police today following a shooting near his property.

One person was seriously injured after being shot in the chest and had to be taken to a nearby hospital. According to Toronto’s City News, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

According to reports, the shooting happened at 2:09 a.m. Canadian time.

The suspect is believed to be on the run after fleeing the scene and no description of the suspect has been reported so far, according to Toronto’s City News.

Drake’s property is currently under police surveillance following the incident and the street outside his mansion has been cordoned off with ‘Do Not Cross’ signs, according to reports.

Police are currently investigating the matter and further investigations are underway.

Drake was the highest-earning rapper in the world last year. He is currently involved in a rap battle with Los Angeles-born rapper Kendrick Lamar.

“Say, Drake, I hear you think they young / You better never go to cellblock one,” said Kendrick Lamar in his newly released song “Not like us“, which is based on “certified pedophiles.”

The ongoing rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar rages on, with both rappers releasing new diss tracks almost daily.

So far, no connection has been found between the shooting and the rapper’s rap feud.
