Sia legally applies to change her name upon official request from the court
Sie changes her name – running to court to ask a judge to let her go on something else… although here it’s only the back half that gets changed.
In new court documents obtained by TMZ, the musician asks to change her name from ‘Sia Kate Furler’ to ‘Sia Bernad’, taking her husband with her Then Bernad‘s last name. Sia’s attorney filed the request Thursday… just days before her one-year wedding anniversary.
Recall that Sia and Dan tied the knot last year in a surprise wedding, exchanging vows Domenico Dolce And Stefano Gabbana‘s Villa Olivetta in Portofino, Italy.
Before Dan, Sia was married to a documentary filmmaker Erik Anders Lang. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the musician’s home in Palm Springs, CA…but divorced not long after in 2016.
The Grammy nominee is notoriously private and often chooses to perform under over-the-top wigs, using the famous ‘Dance Moms’ alum. Maddie Ziegler to be the face of her projects.

However, in the past year she has shared more of herself, including more of her face. ICYMI… Sia debuted a facial transformation at the fifth annual Daytime Beauty Awards, famously thanking her plastic surgeon on stage for her facelift.
