'South Park' gets special channels within Pluto TV

Paramounts Pluto TV is launching a “South Parkcategory, dedicated to the long-running satirical cartoon series, within the free, ad-supported streaming television service.

The “South Park” category includes a main “South Park” channel, available in all international markets where Pluto TV is present, as well as a series of “South Park” themed channels in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Canada , Italy, Spain, Brazil, Latin America and Australia. This contains a selection of ‘South Park’ episodes dedicated to the theme of the month. These markets will also feature a range of channels individually dedicated to specific characters from the series.

The series, co-created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, has proven to be a key driver for Pluto TV in international markets. By 2023, “South Park” was consistently among the top 10 series in every Pluto TV market. It reached number 1 in Canada, France and Italy. In Britain, ‘South Park’ launched on PlutoTV in late 2023 and immediately joined the country’s top five series.

Build on MTV Entertainment Studios’ expanded deal with Parker and Stone, “South Park” has been extended Comedy Central through 2027, bringing the cable channel’s longest-running scripted series into an unprecedented 30th season. The first six original ‘South Park’ events made for streaming will take place exclusively Biggest+.
