Stop pop-up ads on a Samsung phone

Fortunately, you can block pop-up ads in your browser. Here’s how.
How to block pop-up ads in Google Chrome
- Open Chrome, then tap the three dots and go to Institutions
- Go to Site settingsThan Pop-ups and redirects and set the switch to the off position
- Go back and select Adsdisable this too

How to block pop-up ads on Samsung Internet
- Open the app, then tap the three lines in the bottom right corner and select Institutions
- To elect Sites and downloadingand then switch on Block popups
- You may also want to add an ad blocker from the suggested list below Ad blockers

Other ways to block pop-up ads on your phone
If that still doesn’t solve the problem, you can consider these methods to stop pop-up ads. Here’s what else you can try:
- Disable notifications in your web browser: Go to your browser settings and manage notifications to prevent sites from showing pop-ups
- To check app permissions: Sometimes apps that require unnecessary permissions can generate ads. Check and change app permissions to limit this
- Factory settings: If your device is heavily affected by ads, as a last resort you can backup your data and do a factory reset
