Swimmer Torri Huske says athletes are using dating apps in the Olympic Village

Team American swimmer Torri Huske can confirm dating apps are being used in the Olympic Village during the 2024 Paris Games.

“Oh yes, there certainly are [people on apps]”, Huske, 21, shared exclusively with We weekly on Tuesday, August 6, when she announced her partnership with Gillette Venus’ Deluxe smooth sensitive razor. “We tried to get our suitemates to download it so we could see who’s on it.”

For the record, Huske didn’t add any apps to her phone because she’s dating a swimmer from Stanford University. At the same time, the Olympian said she innocently liked “to see who was on it” and whether her fellow athletes found anyone special.

“I think there were some from different countries,” she said Us“but it was also funny when you met someone from the same team.”

With serious training commitments and packed schedules, some may wonder if it’s difficult for Olympians to have relationships. From Huske’s perspective, support and encouragement from a partner is common when life gets busy.

“I think the hardest part is honestly the time difference and my boyfriend is doing an internship now, so he wasn’t able to call much while he was working, but he’s been super supportive,” she said. “You just have to figure out what times work for you.”

Although Huske’s friend couldn’t make it to Paris to see her win three medals, he was able to watch her race while she was at work. “They even planned some of their business meetings around my swims,” she revealed, “and they watched it in the office.”

In just one week, Huske won gold in both the 100-meter butterfly and the 4×100-meter medley relay. She also won a silver medal in the 100 meter freestyle.

The 2024 Summer Olympics may be taking place in the City of Light, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t come with their fair share of darkness. While years of hard work and training helped her make her Olympic dreams a reality, Huske said it’s also the little things – like a close shave – that can make the difference in which medal you take home.

“I think shaving is really important,” she said, recommending the Deluxe Smooth Sensitive Razor from Gillette Venus. “There is a huge culture around swimming. Everyone does it on race day just because every hundredth of a second counts. … Every little thing that you can do that you have control over outside of the actual race, you’re going to do it.
