“Taste of Fall” Thursday amid rain showers and storms

Scattered storms and cooler temperatures will bring a “taste of fall” to Colorado on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures across the state on Thursday will be several degrees lower than normal for late August. That’s what NWS forecasters said.

Denver will see highs around 83 degrees on Thursday, 2 degrees below the average of 85 degrees for August 29, according to NWS data.

On the Eastern Plains, temperatures are expected to hover around 78 degrees – 5 degrees below the August 29 average temperature of 83 degrees on the Plains. That’s what NWS forecasters said.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will rumble across the Eastern Plains throughout Thursday morning and largely clear by the afternoon, forecasters said.
