The deed star Callum worthy hasn’t met Gypsy Rose Blanchardbut he would be ‘honoured’ if he encountered the former criminal.

‘I’d like to meet her. Yes, if she was open to it. She’s been through so much,” Worthy, 33, said We weekly exclusively at the 12th Annual Ed Asner & Friends Celebrity Poker Tournament hosted at CBS Radford Studios on Saturday, June 15. “I wouldn’t want to be – I wouldn’t want to put more pressure on her because she’s been through so much already. If she wanted that and was open to it.”

Worthy would ensure that the meeting between him and Blanchard takes place “on her terms,” he said.

Worthy played Blanchard’s ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn in Hulu’s limited series The deedreleased in 2019. Godejohn is currently serving a life sentence for the 2015 murder of Blanchard’s mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. (Gypsy sentenced to ten years in prison and released late last year after serving seven years.)

“I hope she’s doing well,” Worthy said Us about gypsy. “I feel so sorry for her, and I just hope she’s doing well and doing the best she can.”

The actor also addressed the continued media attention Gypsy has received since her release from prison.

“What it looks like from my perspective – and who knows if I’m missing something – but it seems like it’s very positive [attention] with her,” he said. “I hope this continues because from everything I’ve heard she’s an amazing person who had a very traumatic childhood and adolescence. So I just hope that she can live freely and have a beautiful rest of her life.

The former couple planned Dee Dee’s murder after she allegedly abused her daughter by convincing the public that Gypsy was suffering from various diseases. It is widely speculated that Dee Dee suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, “a mental disorder characterized by attention-seeking behavior from a caregiver through those in their care,” according to WebMD.

The Act made headlines upon its release, but Gypsy has only seen the first episode.

“I think Joey King did a great job playing me,” she said Us last month. “I was a little harsher on Patricia Arquette who played my mother, just because it’s my life. I am very hypercritical about it.”
