The Best Dressed Stars of the Week Proved All-Black Can Make a Statement

Summer is nearing its end, but not quite yet! If last week’s celebrity sightings were any indication, summer fashion is still in good shape. But the best-dressed stars? The ones that rebuked seasonal signatures – bright colors, bold prints – and veered into subdued (perhaps even deliberate) all-black looks. They proved that a modest ensemble can still have an impact.

A little (or a lot) of shine shone this week. In LA for example Emily in Paris star Lily Collins slipped into an Armani Privé peplum dress covered in dazzling crystals. Saoirse Ronan also opted for metallics in the form of a disco ball-worthy Louis Vuitton dress, worn at the Edinburgh premiere of The outlet.

Other stars emphasized shape and silhouette.
