Hezbollah fires rockets at Israel in retaliation for the deadly attack

The Houthi group has been carrying out drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes since November.

Cairo:

Yemen’s Houthis said on Tuesday that they, along with the Islamic resistance in Iraq, carried out a joint military operation, attacking a vital target in Israel’s Haifa.

The military operation was carried out with “a number of winged missiles,” Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised statement, without identifying the target under attack.

The Houthi group has been carrying out drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes since November, in what it says is solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

The Iran-aligned Houthis first launched drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes in November. In dozens of attacks, they sank two ships, seized another and killed at least three seafarers.
