TikTok is testing AI-powered search results
The AI game is getting stronger every day, with more and more companies adding AI features to their technology. TikTok is one of the main participants in this game as it already has a number of AI-related features in its app. Now TikTok is testing a new feature that will do just that show AI-generated search results.

TikTok’s new AI search results feature is called find highlights and is currently in the testing phase. This feature essentially provides explanations for every search result on TikTok and eliminates the need to search multiple videos individually to gather information. It provides you with a summarized version of the content shown in the videos.
You can think of this feature as similar to Google’s SGE, which performs a similar function by analyzing search results for your query and providing a shortened version of them. This way you don’t have to go through each website one by one to get the answer to your question.

Furthermore, this feature does not work for every search result. The algorithm only displays AI-generated results when there is something relevant to see. For example, you can search for “chia seed pudding recipes” and the TikTok AI search function can display an AI-generated summary.
While this new search markup feature will save a lot of time as a user, it is one of those features that creators may not be so fond of. Why would someone have to watch the entire video to get the answers since it analyzes videos and summarizes the content? This feature is likely to have a negative effect on the number of views of your videos.
When will TikTok release this feature?
This feature is currently in testing and is only available to a limited number of users. That means you can expect a lot of changes, and the company doesn’t plan to release it publicly anytime soon.
