Trump Falls for AI-Generated Taylor Swift Fans in Kooky Endorsement Claim

Donald Trump had a ‘love story’ for fake photos that showed Taylor Swift fans supporting the Republican presidential candidate on Sunday.

The former president took to Truth Social to share screenshots from social media accounts showing women wearing “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts, but the majority of the photos appeared to be generated by artificial intelligence.

“The Swifties For Trump movement is real!” wrote one X user in a post shared by Trump next to a photo collage clearly labeled “satire.”

Another fake photo shows Taylor Swift, who has been particularly critical of the former president in recent years supported the Biden-Harris campaign in 2020dressed as Uncle Sam next to the text: “Taylor wants YOU to vote for Donald Trump.”

“I accept!” Trump wrote.

It’s unclear whether his comment was in reference to photos of the AI-generated “Swifties” supporting him or the pop superstar’s fake endorsement.

Two of the photos in the post are legitimate and show Trump supporter Jenna Piwowarczyk wearing a ‘Swifties for Trump’ shirt at a campaign rally in Wisconsin.

Former President Donald Trump shares a number of AI-generated photos of Taylor Swift fans wearing “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts, including one with the caption “satire.”

The pop superstar — who earlier this year was at the center of the right-wing conspiracy theory involving her, her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce and President Joe Biden — has yet to endorse a candidate for the 2024 race.

Swift, who once declared that Trump’s 2016 victory “completely blinded‘her, has publicly gone after the former president in recent election cycles.

She took to social media to criticize his handling of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, writing: “After fanning the flames of white supremacy and racism throughout your presidency, you have the audacity to feign moral superiority before using violence threatens? ‘When the looting starts, the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump.”

The pop superstar would later address what she called the former president’s “calculated dismantling” of the US Postal Service in August.

“He is well aware that we do not want him as our president. He has chosen to blatantly cheat and endanger the lives of millions of Americans in an effort to retain power.” Swift wrote at the time.

Swift fans are reportedly hopeful she will appear at the Democratic National Convention this week, CNN reported this on Sundayalthough sources said big-name speakers are still being finalized in Chicago.
