Trump spokesperson's frenzied call for 'total surrender' shot down on Newsmax

A Trump campaign spokesman gave Democrats a far-fetched suggestion that even a Newsmax host immediately hit back.

“My advice to the Democratic Party right now would be total surrender,” Caroline Sunshine, deputy communications director for the Trump campaign, said on the conservative network on Wednesday.

“You’re stuck with Joe Biden at the top of your ticket, and anyone you can dream of replacing him can’t beat President Trump, as we just saw in the latest round of polling,” she added. “So my advice would be: Save yourself millions of dollars, do what’s right for the country and just ditch this whole presidential election cycle.”

Newsmax host Rob Finnerty laughed and noted, “Right, and the American people will vote on November 5th and we’ll find out, but I don’t think the Democrats will sit this election out.”

“I’m pretty sure that won’t happen,” he told her.

Democrats are trying to find a way forward after President Joe Biden’s shocking performance in last week’s presidential debate against Donald Trump.

Some have called on Biden to end his re-election campaign and let a younger candidate take on Trump in November.
