Valerie Bertinelli and her friend, Mike Goodnoughare both real weiners when it comes to their flirty banter.

After the pair spent the day together enjoying hot dogs at Rutt’s Hut in Clifton, New Jersey, Goodnough took to social media to confess that he couldn’t help but focus on the couple’s meal instead of its leading lady.

“I only have eyes for @wolfiesmom but the camera couldn’t help but stare at these two chili dogs,” Goodnough wrote via Wires on Tuesday, June 4, next to a photo that focused on two chili dogs while Bertinelli, 64, remained blurred in the background. “I think it’s just appreciating visual art… because those chili dogs were masterpieces.”

However, the former Food Network star didn’t take it personally and instead used her best hot dog puns to poke fun in the comments section. “Let’s be honest, honey. You were completely in love 🤤 and enjoying those 2 puppies,” she joked. “I guess it could have been sausage, but I know you of all the hot dogs in the world are making fun of me 😁.”

According to Bertinelli, she and Goodnough reconnected over Instagram after initially becoming friends on the platform a few years ago. The duo spoke on the phone for months before things turned romantic in January when they met in New York City’s Central Park.

Their relationship follows her divorce in 2022 Tom Vitale and the death of her first husband, Eddie Van Halen, who died in 2020 after a battle with throat cancer. The couple share son Wolfgang, 33.
