Why has the Copa America final been postponed? Argentina vs. Colombia odds, new start time, live stream

Lionel Messi’s Argentina will take on James Rodriguez and Colombia in the Copa America final in Miami on Sunday evening. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM ET. It’s a poetic Copa America final, with Colombia meeting the last team to beat them for a chance at their first title since 2001 in Miami on Sunday. It would be only their second title ever and to achieve that Los Cafeteros would have to go past the reigning champions Lionel Messi and Argentina must come. James Rodriguez has already set one record in tournament play and now has the most assists in a single Copa America with six, but he will be aiming for at least a seventh to take Colombia’s unbeaten run to 29 games in all competitions.

Storylines

Colombia: As he rolls through every obstacle in his path, Nestor Lorenzo will have one more to overcome if Colombia wants to win a Copa America title. Right back Daniel Munoz is suspended for the final after receiving two yellow cards in the first half against Uruguay. After Rodriguez, Munoz is perhaps Colombia’s second best player at this tournament, scoring two goals while defending excellently. Likely to be replaced by Santiago Arias in the final, it will bring a slightly different outlook to the Colombian attack.

Argentina: I need more from Argentina that faced Canada and less from the team that has performed below expectations for most of this tournament. Although Messi was dealing with fitness issues he was still able to score against the Canucks, but it was the form of Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez that has provided Argentina with strength in this tournament. They will need more from their defense, especially on set plays where Rodriguez has scored four goals, but if there is any team that can stop a powerful attack in a final, it is Argentina.

Prediction

Colombia will look to come full circle to win the Copa America and extend their unbeaten run. Who will ultimately stop this team from another win? Choose: Colombia 2, Argentina 1
