Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 Release Date, Price and Specifications Rumors
Xiaomi’s foldable phones are evolving quickly and boasting thinner designs, more powerful chipsets, advanced cameras and larger batteries.
The latest – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 – is impressively thin and lightweight, competing directly with the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, as well as the Honor Magic V3.
The phone is already available in China, but when will it be released globally?

When will the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 be released?
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 was officially unveiled July 20, 2024 in China.
Historically, Xiaomi hasn’t delayed long before releasing devices globally, after an initial Chinese launch. For example, the Redmi Pad Pro was available globally about a month after its debut in China.
However, there is no concrete evidence yet for a worldwide release for the Mix Fold 4.
Meanwhile, retailers such as Trading Shenzhen and Wonda Mobile are already offering the Mix Fold 4 for global purchase.
How much does the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 cost?
In China, pricing for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 starts at CNY 8,999 ($1,240/£970) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 9,999 ($1,375/£1,080), while the top version – with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage – costs CNY 10,999 ($1,515/£1,200).
While the phone still hasn’t been officially released worldwide, some retailers are already offering sales outside of China. For international buyers, prices from retailers such as Trading Shenzhen and Wonda Mobile at the time of writing are as follows:

Please note that these devices will use Chinese software, which may affect the functionality of certain apps such as Google Wallet and Android Auto. Furthermore, the eSIM functionality only works with Chinese network providers.
For a fully operational model outside of China, you’ll have to wait for an official global launch manifest.
What specifications and features does the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 have?
Design
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is incredibly thin and light, weighing just 226 grams;, similar to Honor’s Magic V3.
It measures 4.59mm thick when unfolded and 9.47mm when folded. The phone has a curved frame, with the sides tapering into the aluminum frame. The internal structure is made of high-strength T800H carbon fiber, which offers a 300% improvement in impact resistance compared to its predecessor.
It is also the first Xiaomi foldable to have an IPX8 rating, making it water resistant up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Display
The Mix Fold 4 features a 6.56-inch LTPO OLED cover display, with an FHD+ resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 21:9.
The main display is a 7.98-inch UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) FHD+ panel, again with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz.
Both displays can reach an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits and each feature a 20 MP front-facing camera.
Performance
Under the hood, the Mix Fold 4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage; the same silicon you’ll find in the current Xiaomi 14 flagship smartphone line.
Cameras
The camera setup on the Mix Fold 4 is impressive, with a Leica quad-camera system with Summilux lenses.
The main camera is a 50Mp sensor with a 23mm equivalent lens, F/1.7 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilization).
It also includes a 50MP 2x 47mm portrait sensor, a 10MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and a 115mm equivalent lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens (15mm equivalent).
Battery life and charging
The Mix Fold 4 is equipped with a 5,100mAh Xiaomi Surge battery, which supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Software
The device runs on Xiaomi’s own HyperOS user experience, based on Android 14. However, global users should note that picking up a Chinese model, which runs Chinese software, may affect the functionality of some apps and services.
