Apple TV+ Releases Teaser for 'Presumed Innocent' (TV News Roundup)

Apple TV+ has released a teaser for the new limited series “Presumed Innocent” from executive producers (and star) Jake Gyllenhaal, JJ Abrams and David E. Kelly. Based on the novel by Scott Turow, the first two episodes will premiere on June 12, with new episodes every Wednesday through July 24.

According to an official logline for “Presumed Innocent,” the film “takes viewers on a journey through the gruesome murder that rocks the Chicago District Attorney’s office when Chief Deputy District Attorney Rusty Sabich (Gyllenhaal) is suspected of the crime.” The cast includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, OT Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Elizabeth Marvel, Nana Mensah, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard and Kingston Rumi Southwick.

“Presumed Innocent” is a Bad Robot and David E. Kelley production in association with Warner Bros. Television. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich serve as executive producers on Bad Robot, while Kelley serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Matthew Tinker through David E. Kelley Productions. Dustin Thomason and Sharr White also serve as executive producers. Turow and Miki Johnson serve as co-executive producers. Anne Sewitsky serves as executive producer and directs the first two episodes and episode eight. Greg Yaitane director produces and directs episodes three through seven.

MGM+ has released a teaser trailer for season three of the mystery horror series “From,” which unravels the mystery of a nightmarish city that traps all who enter.

The series stars Harold Perrineau, who leads a cast that includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Elizabeth Moy, Avery Konrad and Scott McCord. Nathan D. Simmons, Kaelen Ohm, Angela Moore, AJ Simmons and Deborah Grover joined the show in season 2.

“From” was created and executive produced by John Griffin, directed and executive produced by Jack Bender and executive produced by showrunner Jeff Pinkner. Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Midnight Radio’s Scott Rosenberg, AGBO’s Anthony and Joe Russo and Mike Larocca and Lindsay Dunn also serve as executive producers. Midnight Radio’s Adrienne Erickson serves as co-executive producer.

Hulu has released key art and the trailer for the upcoming drama series “Queenie,” based on the novel by Candice Carty-Williams.

According to an official logline, “Queenie” follows: “Queenie Jenkins (Dionne Brown), a 25-year-old Jamaican British woman living in South London, straddling two cultures and fitting neatly into neither. After a messy breakup with her long-term boyfriend, Queenie looks for comfort in all the wrong places and begins to realize she must face the past before she can rebuild.

“Queenie” was created by Carty-Williams and is executive produced by Carty-Williams, who will also serve as showrunner. Non-writing executive producers are Further South’s Steve November and Sarah Conroy, with Lisa Walters serving as co-executive producer and series producer. The series is produced by Further South Productions in association with Lionsgate TV.

Paramount+ has unveiled the trailer for the ninth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” premiering May 17. The guest judge lineup for the new season includes Alec Mapa, Anitta, TJ and John Osborne, Colton Haynes, Connie Britton, Jeremy Scott, Keke Palmer, Kristine W, Ruta Lee and Stephanie Hsu.

The eight queens returning for the ninth season of “All Stars” are Angeria Paris VanMicheals, Gottmik, Jorgeous, Nina West, Plastique Tiara, Roxxxy Andrews, Shannel and Vanessa Vanjie.
