Convicted felon Trump admits he had an illegal gun

Donald Trump admitted during an interview with a probation officer that he illegally had a gun in Florida, violating federal and state laws.

CNN reported:

New York City Department of Probation officials questioned former President Donald Trump about an additional gun registered to him in New York and his access to firearms as part of their pre-sentencing interview, a city official who reviewed the exchange said had been informed.

The former president was convicted at the end of last month of 34 crimes for falsifying company records. Possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon is a federal crime.

According to the official, Trump said a gun was present in Florida, believed to be one of three listed on his New York City permit to carry concealed weapons.

It is a violation of federal and state law for convicted felons to own and possess firearms.

Donald Trump has admitted to breaking the law. If the Justice Department applies the same standard to Trump as it did to Hunter Biden, Donald Trump should be indicted and charged with federal gun crimes. It is not surprising that the same ex-president accused of stealing classified documents had illegal weapons in his possession.

Trump doesn’t need the gun. He has Secret Service protection. Did Trump think he was special and could be a convicted felon with an illegal gun?
