DWTS’ Emma Slater Hopes Mauricio Umansky ‘Will Be In My Life Forever’

Getty Images (2)Dancing with the stars pro Emma Slater thinks she will always have an ex-partner Mauricio Umanski in her corner.
“I really think Mauricio is someone who will stay in my life forever,” Slater, 35, said exclusively We weekly on Friday, May 10 during the Race to Erase MS Gala at the Fairmont Century Plaza. “We really click. We went through more or less difficult times together and were each other’s confidantes. It was a really fun season. Difficult for both of us, but we are really grateful that we had each other.”
Slater teamed up with Umansky, 53, for season 32 of the ballroom dancing competition. At the time, he had recently divorced his wife Kyle Richards. Slater, meanwhile, was previously married to colleague DWTS pro Sasha Farber and filed for divorce in February 2023. (DWTS Rehearsals for season 32 began the following summer, but it is not clear whether her “difficult” journey was related to the divorce.)
“You get very close to your partners during the season,” Slater said Us on Friday. “He’s such a great person. We have such a good friendship that it meant a lot that he could come to church [DWTS] tour and support.”

Slater and many of her fellow professional dancers toured the United States at the end of season 32. Umansky came to see the live show in March.
“It’s so nice that Mauricio comes to watch Dancing with the stars tour,” Slater bounced.
Slater and Umansky’s friendship sparked speculation among fans, sparking their intense onstage chemistry. They were also seen holding hands between rehearsals but shut down dating rumors.
“To be clear, we are not dating,” Umansky previously said in an Instagram Story video from October 2023. “We have been dancing together for six weeks now, four hours a day, every day.”
Slater intervened at the time, explaining that they share “similar personalities” and are very “supportive” of each other.

Umansky had used DWTS – he was eliminated during the October 31, 2023 broadcast – to help deal with his recent breakup. Us confirmed in July 2023 that he and Richards, 55, had split shortly before the pair denied third-party involvement.
Umansky and Richards, who share three daughters, have yet to file for divorce Buy Beverly Hills star recently moved.
“Kyle and Mauricio have been living apart for the past few months and he is staying [in a new condo],” a source exclusively shared Us earlier this month. “They’ve both been traveling a lot lately, so it’s a matter of figuring out where they’re not staying under the same roof.”
