How Chris Harrison ‘destroyed’ bachelor Peter Weber before his proposal

Peter Weber opens up about what came before Bachelor education host Chris Harrison said that woke him up before he suggested it Hannah-Ann Sluss about the season 24 finale.

“You want to know what the hardest part is that I’ve been through [on the show]?” Weber, 32, asked Harrison, 52, on the Monday, April 22, episode of his ‘The most dramatic podcast ever“podcast. “Where I was ready to give in, as if I have nothing left to give, the strength is gone? When Harrison interjected that Weber was “a mess” by the time he walked in, Weber agreed, but noted that what Harrison told him at that moment “completely destroyed” him.

“I know it was good TV, they used it to open the season,” he continued. “But… You told me Hannah Ann doesn’t know if she even wants to show up. Don’t know if she wants to come.’

The pilot acknowledged that he “can now be so brutally honest” that enough time has passed, explaining: “There was pressure. I shouldn’t have asked Hannah Ann to marry me, I can honestly say that. I definitely got caught up in it all.

He added, “But when you said that to me, I struggled so much in my mind with the question, ‘Is this the right thing to do? I feel so much pressure, I’m crazy, I’m exhausted, you know, what am I supposed to do here?’ And then you told me that line about how she doesn’t even know if she wants to come right now, and then I left. I think I almost fainted. You had to take me to one of the houses to just lie in bed because it was so hot outside too.

Weber then asked Harrison if the dramatic moment was just “for TV” or if she “actually” told him that, to which Harrison admitted, “No.” 1, she didn’t tell me. I didn’t talk to her. A producer would never allow me to talk to her.”

Weber proposed to Hannah Ann just before Thanksgiving in 2019; However, she said he had to talk to a fellow contestant in early January — around the time Weber’s season premiered. Hanna Brown “Because he needed closure.”

Although he gave up his romance with the runner-up Madison Prewitt another shot, the couple broke up days later. Weber went on to date the Season 24 contestant Kelley Flanaganwhich was eliminated before the hometown visits, from 2020 to 2023.

Hannah Ann went on to become NFL star Jake Funkand the pair made their romance public in February 2022. Funk, 26, popped the question to the reality personality in January 2023.

“I wanted to wait to share [our relationship] with everyone because it was our decision,” she said Us. “We’re very private and you know, that just seems like the best thing for us right now.
