If Trump is convicted, Michael Cohen will be a major reason why

Michael Cohen has so far been praised for being a calm, credible and balanced witness, but the strong manner in which he concluded his testimony has caused great damage to Trump.

Harry Litman wrote about the end of Cohen’s testimony:
“Do you have any regrets about your past work and collaboration with Trump”
I do. I regret doing things for him that I shouldn’t have done. to lie. bullying people. I don’t regret working with them; they were interesting and wonderful times. but to maintain loyalty and do the things he asked of me. I violated my moral compass and I had to suffer the punishment, just like my family.”

NO FURTHER QUESTIONS

Next up for Cohen is cross-examination by the defense, and then redirected by the prosecution. Trump’s defense is expected to be quick and may consist of at most two witnesses. There are no plans for Trump to testify.
Cohen was a much better prosecution witness than anyone expected. Since there are no cameras in the courtroom, we have to rely on the observations of those in the room, but reporters are impressed. Given his past behavior, his lies and his track record, it was expected that Michael Cohen could be a problem for the prosecution, but the DA’s office appears to have done an effective job of supporting Cohen with witnesses and documentation.

If Cohen does well on cross-examination and Trump is ultimately convicted, his former lawyer could ultimately be a major reason for this.
