Republicans in the House of Representatives voted in December to authorize an impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

Meanwhile, Comer recently came under fire from congressional colleagues on both sides of the political aisle over the apparent botched impeachment inquiry into the current president.

“The impeachment inquiry is ongoing and impeachment is still 100 percent on the table,” Comer emphasized.

“It’s April,” the Republican congressman said Nick LaLota said on the impeachment issue. “There will be elections in seven months.”

“It would be wise for people to slow down the legal accusations against the two major party candidates,” he continued, “and I think we are close enough to the elections to give the people a chance to decide the future. ”

If RadarOnline.com previously reported, the then Speaker of the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy introduced the impeachment investigation in President Biden shortly before he was removed from the role of speaker in September 2023.

Flash forward to December 2023, when Republicans in the House of Representatives officially authorized the impeachment inquiry.

“We are very happy with today’s vote,” Comer told reporters four months before his investigation collapsed. “I think this sent a message loud and clear to the White House.”
