Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) made the choice clear for voters trying to choose between Biden and Trump in 2024.

Fetterman said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe:

However, I really think the main problem is the personalities. It’s like, what do you want? Do I want that kind of chaos and depravity, or do you want a decent president who got us through the pandemic, who tackled inflation, and now the wars in Ukraine and Gaza. If you really think Trump is going to make any of these situations better, I mean that’s their choice, but I do believe that enough Pennsylvanians are going to decide that that’s our guy, that’s my guy.

In 2022, people were like, I don’t know if you can campaign. Absolute. I was proud to campaign with the president, and I’m not really worried about all those polls right now. According to the polls I would lose by one or two points, while we won by five points, so I think it’s a close race.

Fetterman was right. The media bases its reporting on the polls, and election coverage is a non-stop horse race. It is assumed that voters already know everything about Biden and Trump, so there is no need to discuss the difference in how these two individuals governed and carried out their presidencies.

Biden has a list of achievements as long as your arm, which is matched or surpassed by Trump’s list of scandals and controversies.

Voters have a choice between two very different individuals. Senator Fetterman is right to think that Pennsylvania voters once rejected Trump’s chaos, and even now that the ex-president has a significant support base in the state, the majority of voters are likely to do so again.
