Stewart said:

Why do we allow ourselves to worry about whether giant, multinational corporations are pro-gay or have traditional American values? Because companies have only one value: shareholder value. That’s all they have! That Budweiser horse that wants to restore our American spirit? It’s actually owned by a Belgian-Brazilian drinks conglomerate! The name of that ‘all-American’ Clydesdale is probably Jean-Luc Bolsonaro. Even the companies you think are sincere, like Dove and their decades-long commitment to body positivity, are owned by Unilever, also the owner of Ax body spray and their decades-long commitment to [bleep] Everything that moves!

There is nothing that companies do that doesn’t serve their bottom line. Even when you go to the checkout line at the grocery store and the little card reader thing says, “Would you like to come up and help feed some kids?” Well, the first thing I think is, ‘You’re the one with all the food, [bleep]Why don’t you round some of that up?’ And then they got the balls to put out a press release talking about how much money they had donated to end world hunger. That’s my money! Just tell those kids it’s my money!

Let’s stop pretending that a company can be woke or woke, or patriotic or unpatriotic.
Let’s just let corporations live their truth like the profit-seeking Patrick Bateman psychopaths that they are. At the very least, we might finally get some honesty from them too.

Jon Stewart was right. Corporations don’t care about morality because corporations are not people. They have no conscience, emotions or logic. Companies have one goal, and that is to say and do whatever they can to make as much money as possible.

The next time a conservative gets angry at a company, remember that the company will quickly relent if it means the profits keep flowing.

We don’t need to know what a company thinks about Pride Month or Black History Month because companies don’t think about anything. Companies will say and do anything to protect their profits. They are not on your side unless you are a shareholder.
