NFL team suffers major setback, leaving fans disgusted with 'Pride Month' post - 'This is embarrassing' | The Gateway expert

There is a very simple fact of life: normal people want to enjoy things without having a political agenda shoved down their throats.

If I go to McDonald’sI don’t want to hear leftists whining about how the company is supporting a foreign nation they don’t like.

When I drive my car, I don’t need climate fanatics screeching about what a three-minute journey should be like CFS is going to kill the polar bears.

And that’s all fine: if I want to watch American football, I definitely don’t want homosexuals shoved in my face so the team can meet their “pride month” marketing quota.

Every year, when June rolls around, every company throws out the most generic and invasive possible “pride month” ads that have absolutely nothing to do with the company the ad represents.

Of course, 2024 will be no exception.

The Arizona Cardinals wasted no time this year and made an Instagram post with the LGBT rainbow next to the caption: “Football is for everyone. Happy Pride month.”

Another safe little ad so they can remind leftists across America that they love gay people and should be safely flagged for cancel campaigns.

But what the cardinals may not have expected is how many individuals are starting to become incredibly frustrated by LGBT values being forced into places where they don’t belong.

“This is embarrassing,” said one commenter.

“Sad world we live in. These poor kids shouldn’t know what this is,” another user commented.

“Thanks for reminding me Cardinals that I need to cancel my season tickets,” wrote one possible former fan.

“As a Cardinals fan, I lost respect for the team,” replied another irritated spectator.

While some comments on the post were of course happy to see LGBT values being forcibly implemented in football, the vast majority of comments were negative.

And why wouldn’t they be?

“Pride month” has absolutely nothing to do with football.

Imagine that every N.F.L team posted about how they supported Israel and condemned Palestine Hamas.

Leftists would spring into action, gathering outside headquarters with pitchforks and torches, repeating actions similar to what they did on college campuses.

But since this ad celebrates what they like, that’s fine.

The Cardinals and the NFL as a whole, not to mention almost every major institution in American life, are taking sides on issues they really shouldn’t be.

The simple reality is that football should be about football. Keep everything else out.
