POLL: 54 percent of Democrats want Joe Biden to be replaced by someone else | The Gateway expert

More than 50 percent of Democrats want to replace Joe Biden with someone else, according to a new poll from Rasmussen Reports.

It is extremely unlikely that this will happen at this late stage in the election. Democrats are already working on their plan to nominate Biden and Harris ahead of the party convention in August.

This is another reminder that there is widespread disapproval for Biden, even among members of his own party.

Newsmax has details:

Rasmussen Poll: Majority of Democrats Want Biden Replaced

A majority of Democrats say they approve of replacing President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s nominee ahead of the November elections, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday.

While 49% of likely voters overall said they would approve of Democrats dumping Biden, 54% of Democratic voters said they want Biden out, while 25% say they “strongly approve” of the move, it shows from the results. It is striking that the Republicans surveyed bring the average down; only 45% of Republican voters surveyed want Biden replaced. Meanwhile, 50% of “other” voters, which Rasmussen labels “unaffiliated,” said they want to see Biden replaced.

According to Rasmussen, the number of Democrats in favor of replacing Biden has increased by six points since the last survey in February.

Young voters are the largest age group who want Biden dumped, with 69% between the ages of 18 and 39 saying they want to replace Biden.

However, overall, only 44% of likely voters think this will actually happen, including 38% of Democrats. Again, strikingly, 52% of Republicans surveyed say it is somewhat or very likely that Democrats will pull the plug on Biden, according to the survey.

This is embarrassing for Biden and his party.

The Democrats are probably stuck with Biden. He certainly won’t just step aside. Remember, he thinks he’s doing a great job.
