According to a recent announcement from the United States government, COVID-19 vaccination requirements for international travelers and federal employees will be lifted on May 11.

When the public health emergency ends next week, the coronavirus mandate will be lifted, President Joe Biden and his administration’s health officials said.

The White House announced Monday that President Joe Biden has signed a bill to end the national emergency related to Covid-19.

However, this termination will not affect the separate public health emergency, which is expected to end on May 11. A White House official stated that the end of the national emergency will not disrupt the orderly wind-down of authorities.

That said, the bill does not affect the ban on unvaccinated travelers to the US until at least May 11.

The bill passed the Senate on a bipartisan vote of 68-23 last month and was approved by the House of Representatives earlier this year, with 11 Democrats voting in favor of the joint resolution.

Instead of threatening a veto this year, he spoke out against the proposal in a policy statement before the vote in the House of Representatives.
