Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) said Donald Trump’s popularity is growing when asked about the Libertarian convention that ousted the ex-president.

Scott, when asked if Trump was booed, said:
I saw a wave of red hats at the Libertarian convention. Donald Trump’s popularity continues to rise, but he’s not going to the Libertarian convention alone. He also does rallies in the Bronx. He’s doing something that I think of as a 50-state strategy. He doesn’t just want to win the votes of the American people. He seeks to win the hearts of the American people, unite our country, and steer us toward the strongest, most powerful, and most prosperous future we can have. So I’m giving him a lot of credit and going places Republicans haven’t gone before. If we want to win this election cycle, we have to go where we’re not invited and to see the former president take that seriously, in my opinion, is a strong sign and one of the reasons why Dana, we’re seeing the poll numbers that are in moving direction.

Trump just got booed loudly and often by libertarians, so Tim Scott claims the ex-president’s popularity is growing. Senator Scott really wants to be Trump’s running mate and he is showing how low he will go to get the job.
Booing doesn’t mean he’s popular, and as far as Trump’s strategy goes, he barely campaigns once a week. If he has a 50-state strategy, the former president should hit all 50 states by mid-2025.
Senator Scott knows better, but if he has to sound like a delusional fool to get himself a failing, morbidly obese absence from the presidency, the South Carolina senator will do or say anything.
