Outrage over Sean Combs’ apology as he steps out of Miami
Diddy’s apology video sparked outrage online.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing backlash over an apology video sparked by the shocking release of 2016 hotel security camera footage showing the music mogul viciously kicking and dragging his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, RadarOnline.com has learned.
When Diddy was seen in Miami for the first time since the security camera footage surfaced, Cassie’s lawyers said, rapper 50 cents, and former Danny Kane member Aubrey O’Day denounced the music producer’s ‘dishonest’ apology.

On May 19, Diddy posted an apology video about the hotel footage on Instagram.
On Sunday, May 19, Diddy took to Instagram and posted an apology video about the camera images from hotel security that showed up two days earlier.
The 54-year-old producer says he has taken “full responsibility” for this his disturbing actions – and apparently tried to explain away his behavior by claiming he was at a low point when the incident occurred.

“So hard to think about the darkest times in your life, sometimes you gotta do that. I was damned,” Diddy said in the apology video. “I mean, I’ve hit rock bottom, but I’m not making excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I’m disgusted by it.”
“I was disgusted when I did it then, and I’m still disgusted by it now. I sought professional help, went to therapy and went to rehab.”

Shortly after posting his apology video, Diddy was spotted in Miami for the first time since the hotel footage surfaced.

Meanwhile, Cassie’s lawyers destroyed his apology video and accused him of making the incident about himself.

“Combs’ latest statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt.” Meredith Vuurtogwrote a partner at Wigdor LLP, the firm representing Cassie a statement posted on X.
“When Cassie and several other women came forward, he denied everything and implied that his victims were looking for a payday. That he only had to ‘apologize’ when his repeated denials were proven to be false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

O’Day too Diddy shouted after his apology video. In her X messageshe recorded Diddy’s December 2023 statement in which he claimed his accusers were looking for a “payday.”
“Diddy hasn’t apologized to Cassie,” says the former Danny Kane member wrote. “He apologized to the world because he saw what he did.”

“He says he is now ‘disgusted with himself, and he was disgusted with himself then’. But apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough with himself not to record this statement, calling her a liar and denying everything. mercy from this, they are not here, and you know it,” O’Day added.
50 Cent also criticized Diddy’s apology.
“This isn’t going to work, who is advising him now?” the rapper wrote on Instagram. “SMH bad move.”

50 Cent also included the same 2023 statement that O’Day shared, adding, “The polygraph test determined this was a lie… Maury vibes.”
